Dr. Pirhossein Kolivand, the President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), expressed his condolences to the Iraqi Red Crescent president following a tragic fire that took place during a wedding celebration in the city of Al-Hamdaniya, situated in the Nineveh province.
The fire claimed the lives of 114 people, while more than 150 were left injured in the early hours of Wednesday.
IRCS President also offered the Iraqi Red Crescent his assurance that the Iranian Red Crescent is prepared to offer healthcare and treatment services to injured people in Iran's hospitals.

Esteemed President of Iraqi Red Crescent Society
On behalf of Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRCS), I would like to take this opportunity to express my compliments to you and your esteemed colleagues in Iraqi Red Crescent Society.
With great sorrow, I have learnt about the occurrence of severe fire in wedding party in Al-Hamdaniya city of Nineveh province located in north of Iraq which unfortunately up to now caused to the death of 114 people, more than 150 injuries as well as extensive damages to the building of the above-mentioned party.
In this hard situation, on behalf of the IRCS and myself, I would like to express my condolence to you and your colleagues in the Iraqi Red Crescent and announce our readiness to treat the injured people in the hospitals of our country.
I convoy the IRCS sympathy with those lost loved ones and wish you, your staff and volunteers success in humanitarian efforts to render services to the vulnerable people.
