After the Iranian Red Crescent Society's relief supplies arrived in the province of Herat, the IRCS relief teams promptly began the search and rescue operations in the villages of Qaleh nok, Naeb rafi, Kashkak and Siah ab. While the search operations have now been completed, the relief teams remain in the earthquake-affected areas to offer ongoing support and assistance if required.
In a bid to aid the households affected by the earthquake, the Iranian Red Crescent sent 500 tents along with other essential items to Herat.
The magnitude 6.5 earthquake, which occurred on October 7, claimed the lives of more than 2,400 individuals in Herat.
