Iranian Red Crescent continues humanitarian efforts to assist Gaza people
TEHRAN, 11 October 2023 (IRCS) – Dr Pirhossein Kolivand, the President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), has formally corresponded with the heads of Syrian and Lebanon Red Crescent Societies, as well as the vice president of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, regarding the provision of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
Mr. Kolivand has stated in his messages that the Iranian Red Crescent is prepared to send aid supplies and teams to occupied areas by way of Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt.
He has likewise transmitted an identical message to the leader of the International Crescent's Islamic Committee.
Additionally, the President of the IRCS recently sent a message to Ms. Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, urging prompt measures to be taken in order to halt the assaults on innocent individuals in Gaza.
Furthermore, in a message to Younis Al-Khatib, the President of the Palestine Red Crescent Society, Pirhossein Kolivand, the President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society said that the IRCS was ready to provide humanitarian aid and medical support to those impacted by the recent conflict in occupied territories.
