The purpose of these meetings was to address the assistance required by the Palestinian Red Crescent.
During these meetings, the focus was placed on four key issues: "urgency for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip", "upholding humanitarian laws and preventing further harm to civilians, women, children, and vulnerable populations", "the importance of adhering to ethical standards", and "providing comprehensive support to medical personnel, journalists, Red Crescent rescuers, and civilians".
Furthermore, Dr. Pirhossein Kolivand, the President of the Iranian Red Crescent, called for an official complaint to be lodged against the Zionist regime at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in view of the violation of humanitarian laws during the assault on Gaza.
