With great sorrow, I have learnt about the occurrence of destructive flood in city of Jobaland which unfortunately caused to the death of at least 10 people and the displacement of 113,000 people.

In this hard situation, on behalf of the IRCS and myself, I would like to express my condolence to you, your colleagues in the Somali Red Crescent and flood affected people and also convey our sympathy with the families of victims.

The IRCS is ready to send the IRCS medical and relief teams to assist humanitarian operation in Somalia.

I wish you and your colleagues all the very best in your humanitarian endeavors.
