Nearly 90,000 Calls for Mental Health Support Answered by IRCS Volunteers
TEHRAN, 16 March 2026 (IRCS) - President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society said that from February 28 to March 16, more than 1,200 young IRCS advisers voluntarily responded to 89,952 calls through the 4030 hotline, where callers sought mental health support and guidance amid the U.S.–Israeli airstrikes.
According to Pir Hossein Kolivand, the calls amounted to a total of 368,520 minutes (6,142 hours) of counseling and support provided during conversations between advisers and callers.
“Many of these conversations have brought comfort, hope, and effective guidance to families,” Kolivand added.
