On behalf of the volunteers and all staff members of the Venezuelan Red Cross, we are writing to express our standard and deepest gratitude for the letter of condolences and the expressions of solidarity sent to our National Society regarding the double earthquake that occurred on June 24th.

Your warm words of encouragement provided us with great comfort during the most challenging moments of the response to this emergency. The fraternity, moral support, and commitment you demonstrated toward our country and our teams on the ground reaffirm the Fundamental Principles that unite us as the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

We apologize for the delay in sending this official response, which was due to the concentration of our operational efforts on the rescue, direct assistance, and recovery phases for the affected communities across the national territory.
