UN condemns killing of 171 students and teachers in Minab in U.S.-Israel airstrike
TEHRAN, 27 March 2026 (IRCS) - The UN has condemned the airstrike on a girls’ school in Minab, southern Iran, which killed 171 students and teachers, following international follow-up efforts by the Iranian Red Crescent Society.
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has also been urged to conduct an investigation into the attack.
171 schoolchildren and teachers lost their lives at the elementary girls’ school in Minab, in Hormozgan Province, as a result of the of an airstrike by U.S.-Israel to the school on 28 February 2026.
