The campaign is waged in exits of 13 provinces, including Tehran, Qazvin, Khorasan Razavi, Gilan, Golestan, Mazandaran, Qom, Markazi, Isfahan, Semnan, Hamedan, Alborz and Lorestan. 500 4-member teams of relief workers with ambulances are participating in the campaign along with forces from the police, medical universities as well as Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization. People suspected of being infected are restricted and quarantined for 14 days. “Red Crescent would implement National Nowruz Relief and Rescue Campaign every year in Nowruz, but due to the coronavirus outbreak across the country, we are serving the people through National Monitoring and Screening of Coronavirus Campaign in the exit of 13 provinces,” said Dr, Hemmati Acting President of the Iranian Red Crescent. “Relief workers will stay beside the people until the virus spread is fully contained,” he added. Dr, Hemmati urged people to avoid unnecessary trips.
