Attending health representatives of Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Azerbaijan, Kuwait, Turkey and Yemen as well as researchers and health experts in the field of massive gatherings, this one-day congress was held in Tehran by the Iranian Red Crescent Society. The participants reviewed identification and prevention of common diseases during the days of Arbaeen, using the medicines and equipment, crisis management, massive gathering management, passive defense in the workshops of the congress. In the opening ceremony of the congress, the book “Crisis Management in Arbaeen” authored by Dr. Pir Hossein Kolivand, the President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society was unveiled. The IRCS President and the Interior Minister of Iran Dr Ahmad Vahidi delivered speeches in this congress.
