IRCS ready to support Pakistan flood-hit people
TEHRAN, 28 February 2024 (IRCS) – Pirhossein Kolivand, the President of ‎the Iranian Red Crescent Society, expressed his condolences to the chairperson ‎of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society and announced that the IRCS is ready to ‎deploy medical and relief teams to assist those affected by the recent flood in ‎parts of Pakistan. ‎
The full message of the president of the IRCS reads as follows:     Mr. Sardar Shahid Ahmed Laghari Chairperson of Pakistan Red Crescent Society                                                                                      Dear Mr. Chairperson, The Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRCS) presents its compliments to you and all your esteemed staff and volunteers of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society. With great sorrow, I have learnt about the occurrence of destructive flood in the port of Gwadar located at Baluchistan province, the largest city of Pakistan which unfortunately caused to the sever damages to areas as well as the displacement of people in the port of Gwadar. In this hard situation, on behalf of the IRCS and myself, I would like to express my condolence to you, your colleagues in the Pakistan Red Crescent and flood affected people and also convey our sympathy with the families of victims. The IRCS is ready to send its medical and relief teams to assist humanitarian operation in Pakistan. I wish you and your colleagues all the very best in your humanitarian endeavors.
