During the meeting in Baghdad, the officials reviewed critical issues including food and water safety, as well as the provision of emergency surgical services by Iranian surgeons for pilgrims.
They also discussed strengthening coordination for delivering treatment, prevention, and relief services to the millions of pilgrims expected.
A key agreement reached was the utilization of the 4030 telephone consultation system. This platform will provide specialized responses to inquiries concerning health, mental health, nutrition, emergency housing, and crisis management.
Furthermore, specialized Iranian surgical teams, coordinated by the Iranian Red Crescent Society, will be deployed to selected Iraqi hospitals to offer emergency services during peak pilgrimage periods.
Additionally, both sides emphasized implementing joint health surveillance measures over the preparation, cooking, and distribution of food for pilgrims.
