In a formal message addressed to IRCS President Mr. Pir Hossein Kolivand, Ms. Maria Martinez wrote: “In the context of the current conflict, the Iranian Red Crescent has continued to deliver essential humanitarian assistance and maintain its presence alongside affected communities, guided at all times by the Fundamental Principles of our Movement.” She added: “The Iranian Red Crescent Society stands as a pillar of humanitarian action, rooted in a long tradition of service and guided by the Fundamental Principles of our Movement. Its work reminds us that neutrality, impartiality, and independence are not abstract ideals, but living values, made real through action at community level and through solidarity with the most vulnerable.” Ms. Martinez also praised the dedication and professionalism of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, stating: “The IRCS’s ability to reach those in need, to mobilize volunteers at scale, and to sustain trust with communities is a testament to strong leadership and to the integrity of humanitarian action.”
