Iranian Red Crescent Opens New Dental Facility in Niger
NIAMEY, 13 May 2026 (IRCS) – The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has launched a modern dental ward at its health center in Niamey, Niger.
The ward was inaugurated during World Red Cross and Red Crescent Week in a ceremony attended by Niger’s Minister of Health, Colonel-Major Garba Hakimi, and Iran’s ambassador to Niamey, Ali Tiztak. The new ward is equipped with modern facilities and advanced dental equipment. During his visit, the minister also visited the Iranian Red Crescent Society’s health center in Niamey, which includes an advanced laboratory, ultrasonography services, modern radiology units, a pharmacy, and treatment rooms. Praising Iran’s humanitarian efforts in Niger, the minister said, “We are deeply satisfied with what we see at this center. It is a true symbol of the Iranian Red Crescent’s borderless humanitarianism in the heart of Africa.” He also called for further expansion of cooperation with Iran.
