The initiative aimed to prevent and detect amblyopia (lazy eye) at an early stage. Throughout the process, the children’s vision was screened, leading to the identification of four children requiring corrective glasses.

This program was launched following coordination with officials at the Maria Auxiliadora state kindergarten in El Alto, with the primary objective of early identification of vision disorders. During this phase, the center’s nursing staff visited the facility to collect initial medical histories and perform vision examinations; all findings were meticulously documented. In total, 45 children aged three to four were screened, seven of whom were referred to a hospital for further specialized evaluation.
