Announcing the receiving of these contributions, Pir Hossein Kolivand described them as a valuable display of human solidarity and regional responsibility amid the ongoing crisis caused by the war.

He highlighted that Russia has played an important role in meeting medication needs by sending a shipment of 30 tons of medicine to the Iranian Red Crescent.

Additionally, he noted that the Chinese Red Cross Society has supported relief efforts through a donation of 200,000 USD.

According to Kolivand, Turkmenistan has sent a shipment of 50 tons of medical supplies, including medicine, baby food, and children’s clothing, equivalent to approximately four trucks.

Furthermore, Uzbekistan has dispatched a consignment of 120 tons of food supplies, including essential items such as flour, edible oil, sugar, canned food, and pasta.

Mr. Kolivand also expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan’s support, which included a shipment of 25 tons of food and medical items. He described this as a sign of good neighborliness, cooperation, and humanitarian responsibility.

He added that today, a shipment of 5 tons, including medicine and medical equipment, will be sent from India to Iran, which will help strengthen medical and relief capacities.

Moreover, following order from President Rahmon, Tajikistan has prepared a shipment comprising 110 trucks carrying a total of 3,610 tons of humanitarian aid. Of this, 45 tons include medicine, hygiene, and medical supplies, along with children’s clothing, food supplies, household appliances, bedding, tents, construction materials, and other essential items. This shipment is expected to arrive in Iran in the coming days.

The President of the Iranian Red Crescent extended his appreciation to the governments and nations involved, emphasizing that this level of empathy reflects the deep human, cultural, and historical bonds among nations during difficult times.

Kolivand also expressed his gratitude for the effective role played by the Iranian Foreign Embassy and the country’s missions abroad in coordinating, facilitating, and accelerating the aid reception process.

He added that the constructive engagement of the Foreign Embassy with international organizations and friendly countries has paved the way for the swift, targeted, and effective delivery of assistance.

The President of the Iranian Red Crescent affirmed that the Iranian Red Crescent will distribute the aid among the affected populations as quickly as possible.
