Sagar Shrestha, Director of the Disaster Management Department at the Nepal Red Cross, in a message to Razieh Alishavandi, Under-Secretary-General for the International Affairs and International Humanitarian Law Division at the IRCS, wrote: “We appreciate your message and the letter from Dr. Pir Hossein Kolivand,”

“On behalf of our chairperson, the entire team working diligently during this time, and our volunteers in the field, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support and solidarity,” he added.

Following the devastating floods in Nepal, which have claimed hundreds of lives, Dr. Pir Hossein Kolivand, President of the IRCS, sent a message to Dr. Bishal Kumar Bhandari, President of the Nepal Red Cross Society, stating that the IRCS is prepared to dispatch both relief and medical teams to Nepal.
