IRCS and ICRC Discuss Iranian Pilots in Qatar
TEHRAN, 07 September 2026 (IRCS) - The Presidents of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) held an online meeting today to discuss the situation of three Iranian pilots detained in Qatar.
Pir Hossein Kolivand, President of the IRCS, called for facilitating communication between the pilots and their families.
He also underscored the need for humanitarian follow-up regarding the U.S. attack on a wedding ceremony in Hormozgan, the status of the 17 sailors aboard the Shahin vessel, and the reopening of the Iranian Red Crescent hospital in Dubai.
Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, President of the ICRC, stated that discussions with Qatari authorities are ongoing to determine the status of the Iranian pilots.
