Kolivand at MENA Summit: “The Blood of Martyred Aid Workers Demands Global Protection for Volunteers”
BEIRUT, 27 September 2026 (IRCS) – Pir Hossein Kolivand, President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) said that the blood of martyred aid workers is a worldwide demand to protect volunteers and ensure respect for humanitarian signs.
Speaking at today’s meeting of the leaders of the Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies in the MENA region, Kolivand highlighted the sacrifices made by Iranian Red Crescent aid workers during the recent 40-day war.
He emphasized the urgent need to transform field experiences into practical actions and effective strategies to safeguard aid workers and volunteers.
