Aid workers Find Dead body of missing person in Baft Floods
KERMAN, 17 July 2021 (IRCS) – While severe flood caused missing of five people in Kiskan Village in Baft County, the eastern province of Kerman, Red Crescent’s aid workers found the dead body of one of them on Saturday morning.
Kerman provincial Red Crescent branch has sent relief teams with sniffer dogs to Baft to find the missing people. One of the missing people was found by the Red Crescent aid workers around Baft dam.
Furthermore, Red Crescent sheltered 76 people (16 households) in tents after flood impacted Sistan and Baluchestan, another eastern province of Iran.Red Crescent has distributed tents, moquette, blanket and plastic nylons among the flood-affected families. Heavy rains have caused flood and inundation in nine villages of Sarbaz, Chabahar, Konarak, Iranshahr, Nikshahr and Fonoj Counties.

The rainfalls started on July 15 and caused flooding in several provinces. The flood also killed a 80-year-old man in Osku in East Azerbaijan province. The Red Crescent’s aid workers pumped water out of houses.
