Iranian Red Crescent Ready to Support Iraq in Hospital Fire
Tehran, Baghdad, 13 July 2021 (IRCS) - President of the Iranian Red Crescent Dr Karim Hemmati announced the Society’s readiness to support Iraq in the fire incident of the Covid-19 isolation ward at Imam Hossein (AS) hospital in Iraq's southern city of Nassiriya.
In a phone conversation with Dr Yasin Ahmad Abbass, President of the Iraqi Red Crescent, Mr Hemmati expressed his condolences and readiness of the Iranian Red Crescent to send aid and support to the Iraqi Red Crescent.
The incident killed 60 people. The probability of an increase in casualties has also been reported above 90 people.
