Red Crescent responds to blast in western Iran
Ilam, 5 September 2020 (IRCS) - Red Crescent relief workers transferred a dozen of poisoned people to medical centers after the explosion of a Chlorine gas capsule in a trailer which left 217 injured in Zanjiteh Oliya village, Chardavol County, the western province of Ilam, on September 4th midday.
Red Crescent, as a part of a relief operation, transported 12 poisoned people by two relief helicopters to medical centres, according to Ali Asghar Akbari, Managing Director of Ilam provincial Red Crescent branch. Six teams of the Red Crescent participated in the operation.
Furthermore, two teams of the Red Crescent with two ambulances were stationed in the village to do relief operation if needed.
