A ceremony held on August 19 was attended by the IRCS President, senior Iranian officials including the Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, the Head of the ICRC Delegation in Iran, and ambassadors from Tajikistan, Uganda, Slovakia, and Afghanistan. 

At the event, families of the martyred IRCS aid workers were honored. 

The Society also recognized Akbar Ebrahimi, an Iranian Red Crescent donor, for providing humanitarian aid to war-affected civilians in Gaza.
