He expressed deep admiration for the quality of services provided to patients despite challenging circumstances, including sanctions and the recent 40‑day war against Iran.

Castellanos noted that departments such as orthoses and prosthesis, orthopedic footwear, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, geriatric rehabilitation, spinal cord injury care, speech therapy, and specialized clinics for limb amputation, spinal deformities, and stroke reflect the IRCS’s strong professional and scientific approach in the field of rehabilitation.

He also toured the IRCS Textile Industries Company, highlighting that its capabilities can be highly effective and supportive during disasters and rescue operations.

An IFRC delegation arrived in Iran on April 18 to visit civilian areas affected during the recent war. 

They also met with the President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society to discuss the damage sustained by relief facilities and the impact on civilians during the 40‑day war.
