IRCS Relief Caravan dispatched to Borders

TEHAN (IRCS) – The Iranian Red Crescent Society dispatched its health and relief convoy to the borders of the country to support the Arbaeen pilgrims.

During a ceremony which was held in Imam Khomeini shrine in Tehran on August 28, 1,700 aid workers and health forces were dispatched to the relief posts set up on the path of Arbaeen pilgrims to serve the pilgrims taking part in the anniversary of the 40th day of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (PBUH).

In addition to serving the pilgrims in the borders, the Iranian Red Crescent will send 2,800 medical personnel and 1,200 rescuers to Iraq, according to Dr. Pir Hossein Kolivand, the President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society.

The IRCS has prepared 50 ambulances, 6 Medical Ambulance Bus as well as rescue vehicles will be to the borders.

The Iranian Red Crescent has set up relief and treatment posts from Zero Point of Iran-Iraq Border to Najaf. In Najaf, fixed and mobile clinics serve the pilgrims too.

From Najaf to Karbala, in every 100 columns, our well-equipped clinics and are ready to provide services for the treatment of heat stroke patients and digestive patients, added the IRCS president.
