Between 8 and 18 September, the Red Crescent offered 2,532,542 cases of all kinds of medical services to pilgrims from Arbaeen in Iraq, said Dr. Pir Hossein Kolivand, President of the IRCS.
The IRCS has offered all types of medical services to pilgrims, including general and specialist visits, injections, serum treatments, dressings, electrocardiograms, sutures, etc.
There are still 700,000 Iranian pilgrims in Iraq, the majority of whom are in the towns of Najaf and Karbala, added Kolivand.
The Iranian Red Crescent also trained over 1,800 Pakistani pilgrims in Rimdan and Mirjaveh on safety and health issues, including first aid, cardio-respiratory resuscitation, heat stroke, etc.
The Red Crescent also distributed 10,190 masks and 2,197 sanitizers among the pilgrims between September 7 and 18.
