IRCS aid workers assisted 8,397 individuals with services including freeing vehicles stuck in snow, pumping water from homes, distributing food items and transporting the injured to medical centers.
IRCS ambulances carried four injured people to hospitals, while rescuers helped 920 snowfall-affected individuals stranded on roads.
Relief teams also pumped water from 161 houses, recovered 2,498 snow-trapped vehicles, and relocated 377 people trapped by floods and snow to safety.
Four people lost their lives in West Azerbaijan and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces. In Kohgiluyeh County’s Sar Peri village, IRCS teams and other operational groups recovered the bodies of two individuals missing in floods; search efforts for a third continue.
Additionally, rescuers are still looking for eight people missing in Khuzestan floods.
These operations covered 22 provinces, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Isfahan, Bushehr, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Khorasan Razavi, North Khorasan, Khuzestan, Zanjan, Fars, Kurdestan, Kerman, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Golestan, Gilan, Lorestan, Mazandaran, Markazi, Hormozgan, Hamadan and Yazd, involving 700 aid workers and rescuers, 186 ambulances and relief vehicles.
