As stated by Babak Mahmoudi, the Head of the IRCS Relief and Rescue Organization, the Red Crescent has delivered assistance to a total of 14,746 individuals up to now.
A total of 3,611 vehicles were rescued from the snow by aid workers, ensuring emergency accommodations for 2,310 trapped travellers.
In addition, 2,160 individuals relocated to secure locations.
According to Mahmoudi, 20 individuals who were injured were transported to hospitals close by.
The Red Crescent teams also provided food packages to the travellers.
Twenty-five provinces in Iran, such as East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Isfahan, Ilam, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Khorasan-e Razavi, South Khorasan, North Khorasan, Zanjan, Semnan, Fars, Qazvin, Qom, Kurdistan, Kerman, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Golestan, Gilan, Lorestan, Mazandaran, Markazi, Hormozgan and Hamedan, experienced snowstorms.
