Following a report received at 4:10 p.m. (local time) on Tuesday, 16 December, regarding the illness of a pregnant woman in Pasan village in Urmia, West Azarbaijan Province, rescuers from the Silvana relief post were immediately dispatched to the scene.
“After traveling along difficult, mountainous routes and reaching the village, the rescuers provided first aid and pre-hospital care to the pregnant woman and transported her to a medical center for further treatment,” said Hamid Mahjoubi, Managing Director of the West Azarbaijan Red Crescent provincial branch.
This relief operation lasted nearly four hours due to the area’s challenging terrain and adverse weather conditions.
