After heavy rainfall caused flooding in some homes in Golestan province on September 15, aid workers were dispatched to help the affected areas.

The relief efforts of the Red Crescent have assisted 310 individuals from 96 households in 29 urban and rural regions within Gorgan, Kalaleh, Maraveh Tappeh, and Galikesh counties.

Relief workers have distributed items such as blankets, kitchen sets, food packages, tents, heating devices and ground sheets to households in need.

The relief operation in Gorgan, Galikesh and Maraveh Tappeh has been completed according to the Golestan Red Crescent provincial branch, but relief work in Kalaleh is still ongoing.
