The Presidents of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies of Russia, Norway, Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Qatar have sent messages of support to Pir Hossein Kolivand, President of the IRCS, backing the Iranian Red Crescent’s appeal for immediate action to aid those affected by the crisis in Gaza. 

On 26 July 2025, the President of the Iranian Red Crescent sent a letter to all National Societies, calling on them to reaffirm their humanitarian mandates and take urgent steps to advocate for affected people in Gaza.
