IRCS 4030 Hotline Provides Psychosocial Support to Over 91,000 Callers During U.S.–Israeli War on Iran
TEHRAN, 19 March 2026 (IRCS) - From 28 February, when airstrikes on Iran began, through 18 March, the 4030 hotline provided psychosocial counseling to 91,012 callers during the U.S.–Israeli war against Iran.
“Each of these calls, reflecting the concern of a fellow citizen, was met with scientific, reassuring, and responsible responses from the team of advisers,” said Pir Hossein Kolivand, President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS).
According to Kolivand, the calls amounted to a total of 414,180 minutes (6,903 hours) of specialized counseling delivered by 1,307 volunteer advisers affiliated with the IRCS.
He described the foundation of the service as being rooted in commitment, expertise, and dedication, emphasizing that the hotline, beyond serving as a mere communication channel, has become a symbol of national solidarity.
He noted that it has contributed to strengthening social resilience during sensitive circumstances by reducing anxiety, increasing public awareness, and fostering hope across society.
“What has made the 4030 hotline a successful model is the cooperation of the people, the efforts of volunteers, the support of benefactors, and the participation of institutions such as the Headquarters for the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order,” Kolivand added. “Together, these combined capacities have helped bring hope and reassurance to society.”
