Formal messages were sent to IRCS President Pir Hossein Kolivand by President and Secretary General of the Austrian Red Cross, President and Director General of the Swiss Red Cross, President of the Italian Red Cross, and the Secretary General of the Norwegian Red Cross.

The messages described the attacks as an unacceptable breach of international humanitarian law.

The aid workers - Hamidreza Jahanbakhsh, Somayeh Mir Abou Eshagh, Alireza Sohbatlou, and Abolfazl Dehnavi - were martyred during U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iran in early 2026.
