Solferino, Jun. 27 (IRCS) _ Dr. Davood Bagheri, IRCS’ Under-Secretary General of International Affairs and International Humanitarian Law took part in the annual tribute to Henry Dunant, founder of the International Committee of Red Cross, in northern Italian town of Solferino.

Dr. Bagheri was invited to the ceremony by Mr. Francesco Rocca, President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and Italian Red Cross.

The event is held annually with the participation of a number National Societies’ youth, volunteers and staff.

The participants travel 10 kilometers away to commemorate the movement of those who carried the wounded people of Solferino battle along the way.
