In this meeting, the IRCS president, outlined the IRCS's strategies in addressing the  prevention of disasters caused by climate change.

Mr Kolivand also mentioned that the IRCS has a lot of experience in managing big events like Arbaeen. He highlighted that the IRCS is eager to share its expertise and knowledge in this field with other National Societies.

The president of the IRCS proposed that the International Federation and the Iranian Red Crescent enter into a Memorandum of Understanding, which would focus on promoting and distributing Iran's Red Crescent relief products to other National Societies.

Dr Kolivand added that the Iranian Red Crescent is prepared to send its skilled personnel to Geneva, in order to support the Federation in specialized fields. 

Mr Chapagain, in response to the IRCS president's suggestions, warmly welcomed them. He acknowledged that the ideas put forth by the Iranian Red Crescent are consistently innovative. He also highlighted that the Society is a leading National Society among all member countries within the Federation. 

On the sidelines of the ICRC & NS Annual Senior Leadership Dialogue meeting, Vincent Cassard, the recently appointed head of the ICRC delegation in Tehran held a meeting with the president of the Iranian Red Crescent Society. The meeting focused on collaborations between the ICRC and IRCS.
