After the blizzard and snowfall, which had an impact on West Azarbaijan, East Azarbaijan, Ardabil, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Zanjan, Semnan, Qazvin, Kurdistan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Gilan, Lorestan, Mazandaran and Hamedan provinces, the Red Crescent teams provided assistance to both households and travelers on the roads.
According to the Relief and Rescue Organization of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, up until now, assistance has been given to a total of 5,882 individuals.
Additionally, emergency shelter has been provided to 1,029 people, 13 individuals have been relocated to safe areas, and 19 patients, including seven pregnant women, have been transported to medical facilities.
In response to the recent snowstorm, the Iranian Red Crescent dispatched 125 teams to provide assistance to those affected.
In addition, relief workers rescued 639 vehicles trapped in the snow and provided blankets, food packages, bottled water, canned food, bread loaves and dates to the stranded travelers on the snowy roads.
