After receiving a report at 12:05 (local time) on January 12th, stating that five mountain climbers were stuck in an avalanche at Randoleh peaks, Oshnavieh in the West Azerbaijan province, the Red Crescent dispatched five relief teams to the area.
On the same day, at 20:05 (local time), the aid workers successfully rescued two of the mountain climbers and transferred them to a medical center.
The search continued for six days until three more mountain climbers' remains were eventually found today.
The Iranian Red Crescent utilized advanced equipment and 300 relief workers in the search operation, in collaboration with a group of skilled mountaineers.
