After Mohammad Ghorban, a rescuer with the IRCS in Jahrom, Fars province, lost his life while providing relief to flood-affected individuals on Friday, December 19, Mr. Elsharkawi sent a message to Mr. Pir-Hossein Kolivand, President of the IRCS.
The full message from Mr. Elsharkawi reads as follows:
“On behalf of the IFRC Middle East and North Africa Regional Office, I would like to extend our sincere condolences to the Iranian Red Crescent Society and to the family of the courageous rescuer Mohammad Korban, who tragically lost his life on duty. His selfless courage and sacrifice embody the highest values of humanitarian service. Please accept our deepest condolences during this difficult time. Our thoughts and solidarity remain with his family, colleagues, and the entire Iranian Red Crescent Society. His bravery and commitment will remain an enduring source of pride and inspiration.”
