Organized by the Semnan Red Crescent provincial branch and Semnan University, the conference received 300 scientific articles. Of these, 80 were accepted, and 18 were ultimately presented. Additionally, 17 articles came from foreign researchers, and five international speakers participated online.
“The Red Crescent is working tirelessly to harness expertise, knowledge, and innovation to combat climate change threats through national and international conferences. We are committed to providing relief in natural disasters and accidents across borders,” said Dr. Pir Hossein Kolivand, President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, during the opening ceremony.
Referring to recent relief operations that saved children, pregnant women, and injured individuals, he added: “True knowledge becomes meaningful when it enables rescuers to reach the injured faster and save lives.”
