Four mountaineers set out to climb the Kalagh Khaneh peak on the Alvand mount on Friday morning, 23 January, but went missing after being caught in an avalanche.

Red Crescent teams were dispatched to the area after receiving reports of the incident and immediately began search operations.

Rescuers found the first body on Saturday, 24 January, at 14: 45 (local time). The second body was discovered on Sunday, 25 January, at 12:45, and the third body was found a few hours later.

The Red Crescent continues to search for the fourth missing mountaineer.
