The full text of Dr. Pir Hossein Kolivand’s message to the Presidents and Secretaries General of the Muslim National Societies reads as follows:

Dear Mr./Ms. President,

Dear Mr./Ms. Secretary General,

I would like to sincerely congratulate you and your esteemed colleagues on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, the month of mercy, compassion, forgiveness, and divine blessings.

The holy month provides a precious opportunity to deepen human bonds, strengthen the spirit of solidarity, and expand charitable activities and humanitarian initiatives around the world. In these blessed days, I wish all nations and communities lasting peace, security, and tranquility.

The month of Ramadan is a time for empathy, joint cooperation, and helping those in need, and standing with people affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.

We begin this blessed month at a time when many volunteers and relief workers from National Societies are facing serious challenges in providing service to their fellow human beings, and unfortunately, a number of them have lost their lives or been injured in this way. This situation reminds us more than ever of the need to comply the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and to strengthen the responsibility of the global community in supporting humanitarian missions.

Once again, I would like to congratulate you and your esteemed colleagues on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, and wish you continued success, health, and increasing blessings in your humanitarian services.
