After IRCS President Pir Hossein Kolivand condemned the airstrike on the PRCS headquarters in Khan Yunis, PRCS President Younis Al-Khatib sent a message of appreciation. He stated: “We deeply appreciate the Iranian Red Crescent Society’s continued commitment to humanitarian principles and the protection of civilians in conflict settings.” 

Noting that “the situation in Gaza remains extremely dire,” he added: “The humanitarian needs are immense, and the suffering of civilians, especially children, women, and the vulnerable, remains at the heart of our response.” 

“We share your sense of urgency and your commitment to advocating for immediate, coordinated action to uphold international humanitarian law and ensure the protection and dignity of affected populations,” emphasized Al-Khatib. 

In closing, the PRCS President acknowledged the IRCS’s solidarity during this critical time, stressing: “Your support strengthens our collective voice within the Movement as we work together in service of humanity.”
