In his message, Dr. Pir Hossein Kolivand stated: 

“Along the routes of Arbaeen, thousands of volunteers, physicians, nurses, psychologists, aid workers, and youth have donned their uniforms as symbols of humanity, empathy, and love for Truth. 

As a humble servant within this procession, I am proud of this vast family. I am proud of the aid worker who, despite blistered feet, still stands ready to serve. I am proud of the doctor who keeps vigil at a pilgrim’s bedside throughout the night until dawn. 

I am proud of the volunteer who quenches a thousand hearts with a single glass of cool water. Arbaeen recalls the caravan that, with heads held high yet hearts in mourning, carried the message of Karbala from the ashes to the annals of history. 

Today, as the Iranian Red Crescent, we strive to preserve a fragment of that message—the message of humanity, sacrifice, dedication, dignity, and freedom.”
